Facilities Manager – Automotive DealershipKrause Auto Group is looking for a hands-on Facilities Manager to take ownership of the maintenance, cleanliness, appearance, and day-to-day condition of our BMW and Mercedes-Benz dealership facility in Myrtle Beach.This is a working Facilities Manager position—not a desk job.We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, takes pride in their work, notices problems without being told, and enjoys fixing things and keeping a property looking its best.You will personally handle routine maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and facility needs while coordinating qualified outside vendors for larger or specialized repairs.What You'll DoBuilding Maintenance & RepairsPerform daily inspections of our dealership facilitiesComplete light painting, drywall repair, caulking, and touch-up workHandle basic plumbing repairs such as toilets, faucets, drains, and minor leaksPerform basic electrical repairs within appropriate skill and licensing requirementsReplace lights, ceiling tiles, filters, fixtures, and other maintenance itemsRepair doors, cabinets, furniture, shelving, hardware, and other dealership equipmentHandle minor carpentry and general building repairsIdentify potential problems before they become larger repairsVendor & Major Repair CoordinationDetermine when a repair requires an outside contractorContact vendors and obtain estimatesSchedule approved repairsCoordinate contractor access and workInspect completed repairsFollow through until the problem is completely resolvedDealership CleanlinessWe utilize an outside cleaning service, but this position is responsible for ensuring our dealerships remain clean and presentable throughout the entire business day.Responsibilities include:Inspect and clean restrooms hourly and as neededClean customer lounges, employee areas, and common areas as neededClean windows, glass doors, and customer-facing surfacesSweep, mop, vacuum, and spot-clean when necessaryClean entrances and exterior areasPick up trash and debris around dealership grounds dailyMaintain parking lots, sidewalks, and building entrancesAddress spills and cleanliness issues immediatelyService Shops & Service DrivesKeep service drives clean and presentableSweep and clean shop floorsEmpty technician trash cans and shop trash receptaclesAddress spills promptlyCoordinate periodic deep cleaning of shop floorsHelp maintain clean, safe, and organized service areasBreak Rooms & Customer AreasStock employee break roomsStock customer snack and beverage stationsMaintain cups, plates, cutlery, napkins, paper towels, coffee supplies, restroom supplies, cleaning products, trash bags, and other consumablesMonitor inventory and replenish supplies before they run outKeep supply and storage areas clean and organizedOther Daily ResponsibilitiesMove or assemble furnitureHang signs, displays, pictures, and fixturesAssist with meeting or event setupHelp with deliveriesPerform minor equipment repairsAssist with seasonal and storm preparationIdentify and correct potential safety hazardsHandle other facility-related needs that arise throughout the dayWho We're Looking ForThe right person for this position is someone who sees something that needs to be done and takes care of it.You don't walk past a piece of trash because someone else normally cleans it. You don't wait until the break room runs out of supplies before ordering more.You take ownership.You should be:Dependable and punctualSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyMechanically inclinedExperienced with general maintenance and repairsComfortable with basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentryWilling to perform cleaning duties when neededOrganized and able to manage multiple facilitiesComfortable working around customers and dealership employeesAble to communicate professionally with vendors and contractorsAble to recognize when a job requires a licensed professionalPhysically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and climbing ladders throughout the workdayExperience in commercial building maintenance, hotel maintenance, apartment maintenance, automotive dealerships, property maintenance, construction, or a similar hands-on role is preferred.How We Measure SuccessThe goal is simple: Our dealership managers should not have to manage the facility.If you see a dirty restroom, you handle it.If a light is out, you replace it.If a faucet leaks, you address it.If a wall needs paint, you paint it.If the shop floor needs cleaning, you clean it.If a customer area needs attention, you take care of it.If a repair requires a professional contractor, you coordinate it and own the problem until it is resolved.We don't expect one person to be a licensed plumber, electrician, HVAC technician, and contractor.We do expect one person to take ownership of our facilities.About Krause Auto GroupThis position supports our BMW of Myrtle Beach, Mercedes-Benz of Myrtle Beach, and eventually Kia of Myrtle Beach operations.Our facilities are an important part of the experience we provide our customers and employees.
