Experience Required

Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in commercial office furniture installation (Steelcase, Herman Miller, Haworth, Knoll, Teknion, Jezet or demountable wall systems preferred). Entry-level candidates with strong carpentry, mechanical assembly, or trade backgrounds will also be considered.

Minimum Education Required

High school diploma or GED certificate

License(s) Required

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction certification preferred (or willingness to complete company-sponsored certification). Site Safety Training (SST) card for NYC job sites is a major plus.

Job Description

Installation & Assembly: In this role, you will be responsible for installing furniture according to the directions you receive and assembling items on-site. Unload, unpack, assemble, configure, level, and anchor systems furniture (cubicles, height-adjustable desking, private offices, benching systems, modular architectural glass/demountable walls, and conference tables) according to manufacturer blueprints and layout drawings. You will also help prep the job site and clean up after the installation is complete. All applicants must have the physical ability to load and unload furniture items from the delivery truck.

Tools: Must own standard hand tools and basic cordless power tools (cordless drill/impact driver, tape measure, level, rubber mallet, allen keys, utility knife, etc.).

Job-Site Prep & Protection: Stage commercial floor protection (Masonite, plastic runners) and wall protection prior to staging freight; maintain strict site cleanliness throughout work phases.

Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift, maneuver, and carry 50–75 lbs of furniture components, architectural panels, and heavy hardware; ability to stand, crouch, kneel, and walk for 8+ hour shifts.

Time & Attendance Tracking: Use company time-tracking mobile software for punctual clock-ins, shift completions, and mandatory sign-out logs.

Reliable transportation directly to designated Tri-State job sites. Valid driver’s license preferred.
